Gilbert Theater on Bow Street
A non-profit theater with a volunteer staff dedicated to providing contemporary, socially relevant, and entertaining theater as well as the classics, and original works by local playwrights. The Gilbert Theater is named in honor of the Marquis de Lafayette. Campbellton Landing
This modern-day entertainment venue is located on the east bank of the Cape Fear River and is named after the old ferry landing at Campbelton village. Campbelton was the first settlement in the area, incorporated in 1762 and located on the west bank of the river. It wasn't until 1819 that the first bridge crossing the river was constructed to bring people over to the east bank. Campbellton Landing is the site of some of the best-kept Confederate breastworks. The Crown Center
